5. Power of Attorney
A general power of attorney can be made by an adult appointing one or more persons to act on their behalf either generally or in relation to a spercific matter for example the sale or purchase of a property. The power of attorney does not need to be registered but will automatically end if your cease to have mental capacity or die. There are also special provisions in relation to a power of attorney which is more than twelve months old.
